When I found out about the Bloggers' Dinner Party at Needle and Spatula I figured this would be a great time for me to try my hand at a making a potholder (by the way, I think potholders are on every sewer's to do list!). There are so many beautiful potholder tutorials floating around on the web so I chose the one from Prudent Baby. It was a very simple project that only took about an hour to make so I will be making this one again, and I will probably quilt it the next time. The fabric I used is from the Natura collection by Alexander Henry and it's called Canyon Path which apparently seems to be sold out around the web: ( I truly adore this fabric so I thought it would be very fitting for the kitchen with all the bright colors, and what's a kitchen without a punch of red right? Anywho, make sure you check out some of the other bloggers who joined in for the Bloggers' Dinner Party!
Here are some other pretty potholder tutorials that caught my eye!
Happy Sewing!
Your potholder looks great, I love that fabric too (first time I had seen it)!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for joining in the dinner party :)
These are so cute! And making them would prevent me from having to spend an arm and a leg at Anthropologie!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ayana! Doesn't Anthropologie have the most beautifullist( not a word huh?) pot holders ever?
