"It's not a good idea to think about staying interesting, you just have to stay interested. You have to stay interested and not care about being interesting."
The interview that Garance did with Jean Philippe was probably the best interview that I have read in a long time. It was thought provoking, inspiring, and I even felt a little more sure of myself after reading it.
"How do you deal, as an artist, with the highs and lows?"
"One thing is for sure, you should never wait. If you wait, it's like you're stuck somewhere, it's very bad. So it's just always trying to keep yourself moving, even if you think you should go in a different direction."

Oh, Tori, thank you so much for discovering and sharing this interview. I just read the entire thing and am going to read it again after I'm done commenting. Of course, I love the first quote you share above about staying interesting (word). I also love when Philippe said, "I've never been in a circle or part of a trade. But I think the most interesting are the people who can navigate from one sphere to another."
ReplyDeletePS~Thank you for sharing my little craft today. You're the best!
That's such a good quote. Don't hit the bottom, just keep moving. That should probably be my motto for 2013. Thanks for sharing!!!
