Sunday Best Bibs

Monday, May 23, 2011

Let me just start out by saying that I love love love this Zanzibar fabric by Alexander Henry ! So much so, that I had the hardest time cutting it for my latest sewing project but I'm so glad I did. My friend asked if I could make some bibs for a friend of hers who is expecting, and of course I said yes! I complemented the Zanzibar fabric with the ever so popular Katie Jump Rope fabric by Denyse Schmidt, and I must say these bibs turned out to be so adorable! The combination of the two fabrics gives these bibs a very Classic Look. They remind me of back in the day when your mom would wait to put on your best clothes for Church on Sunday morning(these bibs are worthy of Church on Sunday mornings :-). I used the bib pattern from the Bend-the-rules sewing book by Amy Karol. Very easy to make, very simple instructions. For those of you who don't have the book, here are a couple of online Bib tutorials that seem quite simple as well. Happy Sewing!

  3. Cool baby bibs and nice fabrics! I like the idea of complementing the two fabrics, it turns out so nice to see because of the perfect combination of colors and the designs of each bib is so Classy. Like what you have said, "Classic Look". That is the exact term of what I see through This bib. These bibs are really suitable for a very wonderful day like Sunday!
