Yep, you heard right, this is the best seasoning blend for veggies and it's so simple. All you need is black pepper, salt, basil, and oregano. And when I'm really feeling snazzy I just chop up half of an onion and sprinkle a bit of garlic powder on them and I'm telling you it's the best! I've literally been using this same blend on all my vegetables since 2002. A wonderful lady I used to work with named Marianne introduced me to it and I'll never forget her for that. I encourage you to try it, and let me know how it turns out.
Oh! and by the way, if you make this for your guest at a dinner party, they're going to love it too! : )
Happy Cooking!
I am going to give this a try. My go to is some butter and salt. I think your combination would be a bit more layered for the ol' taste buds.
ReplyDeleteJinx, I roasted veggies today too. I used kosher salt, oregano, basil, black pepper and olive oil. So tasty! I was cooking up a storm today too. I tried 2 new recipes from http://www.skinnytaste.com/ - chicken sausage w/escarole (I used kale) and a stuffed pepper dish. Easy and I get so much inspiration from bloggers.
ReplyDeleteI love your picture of the spices. The wooden backdrop is great. Also, is there oil involved in this experience? I'm new to this...
